Mom's Buzzy Corner

This is one of the reasons why I've been gaining weight! I can't stop drinking coke. I actually prefer it over water. I know it's not a healthy practice but my cravings is stronger than my will. But I am really trying very hard. That's why instead of looking for which diet pills work, I am now reading articles on how to get over my soda addiction. I've been looking for alternatives. I know it's going to be a tough fight, but I am willing to work it out no matter what.

I am overweight. That's what the BMI calculator revealed when I used it. And it says I need to lose 30 pounds to reach my ideal weight. Yup, 30 freaking pounds! Sounds like a small number but when we are talking about weight, it is a lot. I don't even know how to start losing it. That's why I've been reading these weight loss success stories from people who have had the same problem with me. I'm hoping their stories would inspire me so that I too can share my own weight loss story.

(Reuters Health) - Longer breastfeeding may increase, not decrease, the risk of a common itchy skin condition called atopic dermatitis that develops in about 12 percent of babies, a new study from Taiwan suggests.

To all expectant moms out there, you better read this one especially if you're planning to breastfeed your baby. According to the study conducted by Chao-Hua Chuang, and colleagues at Chang Jung Christian University and other institutions in Taiwan, they found out that longer breastfeeding may raise infants' eczema risk. They found that not only did longer breastfeeding not protect against the skin condition as might have been expected, it appeared to also increase the risk that a child would have atopic dermatitis at 18 months. For more details on this study, feel free to visit the Reuters Health website.

Thank God for medicines! I feel a whole lot better now. My bodily pains are almost gone but just to be sure, I still scheduled a visit to our family doctor. I also want to be checked for strep infection because my tonsils is  starting to bother me. It needs to be treated before it gets worst.
